Our Family, Japan, & PAZ

OUR FAMILY OF 5

We were married in Michigan at Cornerstone Church where we attended and served at for almost 7 years. Ben joined the staff as the intern director, was ordained a pastor, and finished his time there as the Youth Pastor. During this time Debbie became a Licensed Social Worker and helped many children and families with her services while also being very involved at church. 

While in Michigan the Lord blessed us with two beautiful girls, Isabella and Evelyn. Since moving to Japan we have been blessed with our third daughter, Eliana!

JAPAN - 日本

As expected, life is much different here than in the United States. We've both focused a lot on language study and are gradually learning Japanese. A big focus of PAZ is discipleship and we are both being discipled and actively discipling others here in Japan. We lead a church Family Group in our home. We help with preaching, church announcements, kids ministry, worship team, and a variety of different things. 

PAZ INTERNATIONAL

PAZ (which means "peace" in Portuguese) was founded by Debbie's uncle about 40 years ago in the amazon basin of Brazil. We felt God leading us to join PAZ and their vision of seeing 100,000 churches planted. Our hope is to run with this vision and see churches multiplied in Japan and throughout the world. OUR 4TH DAUGHTER - ESTHER JOELLE BLOCK

Our sweet Esther Joelle Block was born in Japan on Thursday, September 16, 2022, skipping life on earth and going directly to live with Jesus in Heaven. We love you Esther Joelle. After our Lord you’re the first person we look forward to seeing in heaven someday. We hope many put their faith in Jesus through this all and we can all be together for eternity with our Lord. Romans 15:13 (ESV): "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope."
